Blog#9

This week we did not have Ms.T in class because she was getting married. When I checked my school loop I seen she left us all a common. She was going to post up her wedding pictures. I have not checked them yet, but I will. I did good in school this week I still don’t come early to 1st but I get all my work done. All we have done in class was read and write in the package paper that Ms.T left us to do. The sub was nice, we were nice to her. We’ve also watched a movie, it was boring to me, but I what surprised me and took my attention was when the paster was coming on the the lady. I was shoked to see that. So far this week was good and I have done the work. I didnt turned in my work on Friday becuase I came in really late like around 3rd or 4th. The school was really empty a lot of people did not come. I was bored in all my classes, and we didn’t do much.I n some of my classes we watched a boring movie and we did work in only one of my classes.

Stretch Mark#1

For my first stretch mark this semester, I went out to eat a different culture food. I was tired of Chinese, Italian and all the other foods we eat daily. I wanted something different. I remember always passing by on South Van Ness a restaurant it read Limon. So I looked it up on Google, and it was Peruvian food. I never had that type of food, and I really wanted to try it out. But I never had the time to go because of school, and work. I had the Saturday off of 3/20. I asked my mom if she could take us to eat. So we parked and walked in. The place was really nice and colorful. The vibe there was laid back and it gave off some latin culture, also the place was a bit small. You could sit on comfortable seats by the windows, or in the middle of the restaurant. When they gave us the menu, I didn’t know what to order. I didn’t know if the food would taste good. I asked the waiter who served us,name Ricky, what was good in the menu. He said everything is good here. But he recommended the Ceviche was really good. But also it depends on what you like to eat. We first ordered drinks. They were really good. I had the Strawberry lemonade, and my sister had the Mango lemonade. It was the best drink I’ve had and were really fruity. For the main dish my sister had the Ceviche, which is fish,shrimp cooked in lemon. My mom ordered Chicharon de pollo, and I had Lomito Salteado. Which is steak with french fries and sauce all over. The plates were small, and I think their main ingredient they use is lemon,thats what I tasted the most. Over all I liked the food I recommend anyone to try it out. And the employees are really nice.

Blog#9

This week we have been reading the book,1984. I think this book is really boring, but from what I have been reading, I think the book is trying to tell us how the future will turn out to be. I did not come to school on Friday, but I did come Mon. through Thursday and I came on time, except for Wed. But I have been improving, my grade was a F and now it’s a D. We are reading the book and answering questions, and we had to draw out for chapter 3 a comic book. I’m a bad drawer. We had food fest on Friday, but I didn’t go, but its always the same thing. They give pizza for 2 or 3 dollars, cupcakes,cookies, hot dogs, Chinese food, sodas, root bear floats, sometimes even Mcdonald’s and all of it cost a lot more than what you can get for in the store. We always have music for that day, but everyone always seems bored. I see them either sitting down or standing up eating. So far I think this week was ok, better than the last couple of weeks. At least this week I raised up my grade. I hope to raise it more next week.

Blog#8

This week was good, better than last week. Although I did not come on Wed. to class because I came late to school. I came late to 4th. I was only in 2nd period for two days, and I did good those days. I didnt go to school on Mon. because I had a dentist appointment. On Thursday we had homework for Ms.T’s class. We had to read about Orwell’s life and highlight what was important. I read and highlighted, and I was proud that I came to class on time and did my do now. One of my classsmates was surprised that I did my work. I didnt come early to 1st, but I did good in all my other classes and did all my work. We started to read the book 1984 and answer questions. If we didnt finished them we had to do it for homework. I almost finished them I just neede the back page. From reading this book it already sounds boring. It talks about how people have these screens in there homes and there are people watching everything you do. Its crazy and people dont feel comfortable. Im glad we dont have that life,I’d go crazy.

Blog#7

This week was okay. I came on time for Thursday and Friday. But I came in late for Wed., but I heard we only did presentation. My group went first, I think we did okay but we did not practice. I was the one who brought the materials that we needed. I had made cucumber sandwiches, a box of ciggaretts and I bought some punch, So I did my part. I think that if we had practice our lines we would have done better. For Friday we got to see the last group to present, and they did good, because they practice.
Also we got in a group of 4 and we had to make a tower. Ms.T gave us an envelope, a piece of tape and scissors. We had to only use those materials. Ours did not come right, and it was not tall at all. It looked really bad, but we at least worked as a group. I liked this week, only I really need to get to school early. For 2nd I don’t want to read another boring book. Every time we read a book it is so boring. We need to read something interesting and that is not hard to understand.
